Another epic winter season is in full swing at Tamarack Resort. With expanded terrain, enhanced snowmaking technology, new amenities, and exciting events, this season promises plenty of snow-filled fun for guests. Learn everything you need to know with this season preview.

Expanded Terrain & Lumberjack Land

Gear up for an adrenaline-packed winter with the addition of 60+ acres of fresh terrain in the Reasons to Quit area. Tamarack Resort now boasts an impressive 1,385 acres of lift-accessible terrain, ensuring a vast playground for skiers and snowboarders to explore. With 50 named runs and six glades, the mountain offers an exhilarating adventure at every turn. Families and beginners will enjoy the new Lumberjack Land, situated off the Waltz run, which offers plenty of skill-building and confidence-boosting space.

Enhanced Snowmaking & Grooming Technology

Tamarack is taking snowmaking to new heights, increasing its coverage by 30% to cover 150 acres of named runs. Six state-of-the-art automated snowguns, including the efficient TA TT10, and one mile of additional snowmaking pipe ensure top-notch conditions. Cutting-edge snowcat technology, featuring the Prinoth Winch Cat, guarantees smooth grooming on steeper terrain, enhancing your mountain experience.

New Nordic Center

Say hello to the new Nordic Center in The Lodge at Osprey Meadows, offering retail, rentals, and lessons, along with direct access to a 20K+ trail system. This is the perfect escape for cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and fat-biking enthusiasts.

Faster, More Flexible Tickets & Lift Access

Skip the ticket line with a new automated ticket/pass kiosk in The Village Plaza, allowing seamless lift access for on-the-go purchasing and reloading. Enjoy more flexibility with multiday, consecutive-day tickets and hassle-free online reservations for rental equipment.

Take a Ride on the Tamarack Ski Bus

Need a lift to the mountain, or just don’t want to drive from Boise? Then catch a ride on the Tamarack Ski Bus. The charter bus picks up and drops off riders at the Home Depot in Eagle (2836 E. State St.) on select Saturdays. Tickets are $25 per person for round-trip travel, and Boundless Passholders ride free! Reservations required. Find dates and times, and save your seat here.

Tuesday Night Trivia

Put your knowledge to the test every Tuesday, 5:30-8 p.m., at Seven Devils Taphouse. Compete for exciting prizes, including Tamarack gift cards and swag.

Friday Night Karaoke

Unleash your inner rockstar and belt out your favorite tunes every Friday, 8-10 p.m. at Seven Devils Taphouse. Whether solo or in a group, you might just win the crowd’s favorite act competition along with some fabulous prizes.

Smores on the Snowfront

There’s no better way to end a day on the slopes than with some gooey s’mores. Get your sugar rush from 3-5 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. S’mores are free for all ticket/pass holders and vacation rental guests until supplies last.

Saturday & Sunday DJ Sessions

Groove to beats while you ski, or keep the vibe alive over an après-ski beverage with two sets of weekend DJ sessions. 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the bottom of Tamarack Express and 3-5 p.m. on the patio at Seven Devils Taphouse. Every Saturday and Sunday through January.

Ugly Sweater Contest: Dec. 22

Get into the yuletide spirit while letting your voice soar at this festive party. Wear your ugly holiday-themed sweater (the ugliest one wins a prize!) and croon to your favorite holiday songs. 8-10 p.m. at Seven Devils Taphouse.

Andy Crosby: Dec. 23

Take a break from the slopes to enjoy the sounds of the season from singer-songwriter Andy Crosby. 12-3 p.m. on The Village Plaza.

Santa Skis for Free: Dec. 25

Here comes Santa Claus, right down Wildwood Way! Dress up like Jolly Old St. Nick—or in your favorite holiday-themed costume—and receive a free full-day lift ticket. Then don’t miss the VIP Santa Soiree at mid-mountain, where you can join your fellow festive skiers in holiday cheer with complimentary coffee, donuts, and Monster Energy drinks—9 a.m.-12 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Show: Dec. 31

Ring in the new year the Tamarack way! Celebrate with a torchlight parade, where participants are shuttled up the mountain before igniting flares and skiing down together in a ribbon of light. The fun continues in The Village with a fireworks show and live music. Parade participants must be 18 or older and an intermediate-level or better skier. Shuttle pickup is at 5:30 p.m. at the roundabout near The Village Plaza, with the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m.

West Mountain Showdown, Presented by Flawless Threads: Jan. 6

Get ready for the ultimate rail jam event, where pro skiers and snowboarders show off their skills as they compete for a cash prize. Amateurs can even get in on the action and compete for slope cred in a separate session. This is a great spectator event with optimal viewing from the grand staircase in The Village Plaza. Amateur ski jam: 12 p.m. Amateur snowboard jam: 12:30 p.m. Open ski jam: 1 p.m. Open snowboard jam: 1:30 p.m.

Gravity Sports Demo Day: Jan. 13

Head to the snowfront to greet Gravity Sports and test its top skiing and snowboarding gear. 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Idaho Ski Bikes Demo Day: Jan. 14

Mountain biking takes on a whole new meaning with this special demo day featuring BMX-style bicycle frames equipped with skis instead of wheels. Discover the thrill of this growing sport with lessons from experts, divided into sessions for first-timers and experienced riders. Learn more and sign up.

Tamarack Outfitters Demo Day: Jan. 14

Join Tamarack Outfitters on the snowfront to explore and trial its vast fleet of rental skis and boards, featuring top brands like Volkl and Elan. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Pam & Dan: Jan. 20

Embark on a musical journey with folk covers and inspired originals from Pam & Dan. This dynamic duo is on a musical and skiing tour, venturing to all 180 resorts on the Indy Pass. 12-3 p.m. on The Village Plaza.

Women’s Intro to Avalanche Safety Course: Jan. 21

Level up your avalanche knowledge and preparedness with this essential course for novices and intermediate-level backcountry skiers and snowboarders. Get expert instruction and hands-on experience with avalanche gear, including probes and beacons. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sign up here.

Cardboard Sled Race: Feb. 11

Show off your creativity and speed as you fashion a cardboard box into a derby champion. Race down the mountain for a chance to win prizes for the most creative box, fastest time, and best theme. This event is open to all ages, and helmets are required. 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Register now, as there is a limit of 25 teams (teams can consist of one or two riders).

Super Bowl Party: Feb. 11

Just because you’re on the mountain doesn’t mean you have to miss the big game! Join fellow football fans at Seven Devils Taphouse to cheer on your team while you enjoy delicious food and drink specials. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m.

Speed Dating Singles Line: Feb. 14

Meet your soulmate on the slopes! Grab a complimentary Valentine’s Day lei and join the singles-only liftline for a chance to meet fellow skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.

Après Soirée Valentine’s Day Party: Feb. 14

Celebrate the day of love with themed drinks, yummy food, valentines themed trivia, and karaoke at Seven Devils Taphouse. Impress the crowd with your singing talents for a chance to win prizes for the best performance. 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Disco on Disco Night Skiing: Feb. 17

Experience the thrill of night skiing on the Discovery Lift with a disco-themed costume party under the stars! Enjoy a live DJ, glow sticks, and a laser-light show. A $5 special event lift ticket (or Boundless Pass) is required. 5-8 p.m.

The Boardroom On-Snow Demo: Feb. 18

Are you looking to try before you buy or just curious about the latest ski and snowboard technology? This is the perfect opportunity to do both. Head to the snowfront to test the newest in shred gear and elevate your riding experience.

Joseph Lyle: Feb. 18

Finish your day on a high note with live music by local artist Joseph Lyle at Seven Devils Taphouse. 2-5 p.m.

Ridgeline Bike and Ski Demo Day: Feb. 24

Test out the top skis and snowboards to meet your style from Ridgeline Bike and Ski.

Snowfort: March 1-2

Treefort is back at Tamarack! Enjoy two nights of live music featuring a variety of touring artists and a VIP section, along with winter activities and other surprises. You won’t want to miss this! Learn more and get your tickets now.

Grom Games, Presented by The Board Room: March 16

Cheer on the next generation of shredders (ages 13 and under) as they compete against other skiers and snowboarders in the Discovery Terrain Park for swag and prizes. Free. 12-4 p.m. Sign up here.

Telemark Ski Demo Day: March 16

Telemarkdown invites you to experience the thrill of telemark skiing with free demos of skis and boots. Lessons are also available for those eager to master the art of this unique free-heel technique.

Breakers Beach, Presented by Flawless Threads: March 17

Make some waves at Breakers Beach—a family-friendly rail jam and barbeque event in Tamarack’s Terrain Park, complete with free hot dogs, beverages, and swag. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Intro to Winter 2025, Presented by The Board Room: March 23

Get a sneak peek at the future of snowboarding at this event on the snowfront, where you can be among the first to test out the latest gear before it hits the market. 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Idaho State Pond Skim Championship: April 6

Get ready to make a splash at the Idaho State Pond Skim Championship. Compete for the title of champion in three judged categories: Best Overall, Best Costume, and Best Crash. Wear your craziest outfit, bring your A-game, and enjoy some wet-and-wild fun! Individuals must be 13 years of age or older to compete. 1-4 p.m. Register here.
