For the new student learning basic maneuvers or the intermediate rider looking to further hone their skills, our group lessons provide an experience that will be remembered for seasons to come.

TAM TOTS

Age 3

It’s never too early to get out and enjoy the winter. Our Tam Tots program is a specially designed lesson that will help your little one become familiar with sliding on the snow. Using play and our sculpted learning terrain will make snow sports so fun that your tot won’t even realize they are learning.

Duration: 1 Hour
Check-In Location: Tamarack Outfitters
Check-In Time: 30 minutes prior (rentals needed) 15 minutes prior (lesson only)
Lesson Days: Daily
Lesson Times: 10:00am | 11:00am | 12:30pm | 1:30pm

FROSTY FOALS

Ages 4-6

The Frosty Foals program is a premier day camp experience for four- to six-year-old skiers and snowboarders. Students will spend their day learning through play in an environment that is designed to foster a fun and engaging day. Our trained coaches will curate a lesson plan that best fits the needs of the students in their group. A low student-instructor ratio ensures that every student will have the full attention of their coach. Available as a package that includes ticket and rentals, or a la carte with lesson only. This program includes lunch.

PIONEERS

Ages 7-12

In our full day Pioneer Ski & Snowboard programs, kids can experience a variety of terrain. From our sculpted learning terrain to the top of the mountain, students will have a great time. First-time to expert skiers or snowboarders are welcome in the Pioneer program. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff will keep it fun while giving your kids the tips and techniques they need to take their skiing and riding to the next level. This program includes lunch.

Duration: 5.5 hours

Adult Beginner Clinic

Age: 13+

Thanks to our top-of-the-line rental equipment and sculpted learning terrain, learning to ski and snowboard has never been easier, and Tamarack is the perfect place to start. We offer beginner lesson/rental/lift ticket packages for anyone. This clinic is designed for first timers up to those working on easy green terrain. Our Discovery zone features a magic carpet lift surrounded by excellent learning terrain and a beginner-friendly chairlift which accesses beautifully groomed mellow trails and a beginner terrain park ensuring that there is always something to keep you engaged while you are getting better at your new favorite sport.

LESSON FAQs:

To book a lesson within 48 hours or for special requests, please contact the Sports School directly at 208-325-1025.
Any changes to lesson start time and/or date must be confirmed at least 48 hours in advance of the designated start time. All changes subject to availability.
Lessons will not be extended, rescheduled or refunded due to the late arrival.
Lesson cancellation must be confirmed 48 hours in advance of the designated start time.
Any lesson cancelled less than 48 hours prior to lesson start time or any no-show will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the full lesson price.
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
A lesson may be changed or cancelled should the ski area be closed due to operational or weather conditions.
We reserve the right to not sell any lesson that is likely to result in a negative experience for guests or instructors.
We reserve the right to remove any student from any lesson without refund.
Please arrive for lesson start times dressed and ready to go. Please allow for time to pick up your pass and rentals.
Late arrivals will not be permitted to join and will forfeit the lesson without refund.
For lessons with lunch included, instructors will supervise lunch breaks. Lunch breaks are closed to parents and guardians to minimize lesson interruption.
