This Idaho-based sextet plays a traditionally based brand of bluegrass music that is to be reckoned with. The backbone of the group is Mark Stolpe, thumping the bass with the authority of a hardened drill sergeant. Jason Homie (banjo), “Lightnin’” Doug Jenkins (fiddle), and Matt Skipper (mandolin/guitar) lay down the instrumentation that establishes Dry Buck as a hard-driving, bona fide Mountain Music Machine. David Skipper (vocals, guitar) and Rand Thompson (vocals, mandolin/guitar) lay down the finishing touch with soulful lead and harmony vocals, all to help set Dry Buck as one of the premier bluegrass bands in the state.
Catch these fellas playing at Tamarack Resort on August 31st, from 4pm-7pm.
