All Mountain Snow Report
last update: 1/22/17 6:20 am
Today looks to be another fantastic day on the slopes! We have received 2″ yesterday at the base with 3″ from mid mountain up, and possibly up to 3 more inches at the summit today. The high looks to be around 28 degrees with winds out of the southeast at 18 to 24 mph. Make sure you are aware that there are snow drifts and with the cloud cover it makes it hard to see the definition in the snow.
Today is your chance to try out what Tamarack has to offer for demo skis! We will have booth set up at the big trail map at the base of the hill from 10 to 3. Stop by and get a hand wax for just $5! Today will be the perfect day to try some of the fatter skis in this powder that is everywhere.
OO-La-La is closed again today for racing. Feel free to slide over there though and check out some downhill.
Friday the 20th was the last time the corduroy and all Nordic trails were groomed. The Nordic trails are in pristine condition, soft corduroy on all interior and exterior trails. We added two new loops today totaling about a mile and another access point to Discovery BUA units and estate homes. Also groomed behind Design Plaza for snowmobile access to the offices and groomed out to West Mountain road for smooth snowmobile access from the lake.
There is also another connecting loop on the Eagle and Osprey trails at the far end of the system, in addition we connected Discovery and Sugar Loaf to neighborhood trail access. There is no classic track at this time. Go check it out for a awesome price of $9. Stay with Tamarack and get a passport and use it on the Nordic trial to go for free. The best way to access the trails is from the lower patio at the Lodge.
Homestead Terrain Park: at the top we added at 30’ Flatbar and in the bottom section we removed the Rainbow and moved the 20’ Flatbar down. All of the lower section of Homestead Terrain Park is open. Additionally, two jumps are open at approximately 25′ and 30′.
Also our Discovery Terrain Park has been modifed since last weekend so be sure to check that out. Line on skier’s right: Jump, 15’ Flatbox, 25’ Flatbox, and 12’ Flatbar. Skier’s left: Mailbox, T-box, Wave box, Jump
Remember Tamarack is where the powder goes to get away from the skiers!
