Tamarack Resort is now accepting applications for Summer 2018 and year-round roles. Below are some of the seasonal positions for which we are hiring.
As the Executive Chef, you’ll manage the kitchens of Seven Devils, Fern & Feather, Canoe Grill and the Mile High Cantina. Additionally, you’ll work with a team to build our up-and-coming catering business. You will manage cooks and dishwashers in high-volume and fast-paced kitchens. The Executive Chef will work with budgets, inventory, and labor management. This person will use the tools and development provided by Tamarack Resort to grow sales and increase profits while you develop both personally and professionally.
Plus, Tamarack Resort has recently been purchased by a new developer, and the resort will continue its real estate growth. The resort will be completing its base village and be adding 4-6 new restaurants in the coming years. The Executive Chef will have a rare opportunity to guide the creation of restaurants themes and menus.
Applicant must have at least 3 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant. Knowledge of cuisine and general familiarity of beer and wine is a major plus. You need to be a genuine, happy leader, who couples humility with a high desire to serve and please. We want passionate individuals who are driven, open to coaching, and are committed to delivering mountain hospitality with personality. This position is full-time, year-round and offers health benefits and paid time off.
Tamarack Resort is looking for a well-rounded chef to lead our Fern & Feather restaurant, help grow our catering program and support Seven Devils Pub throughout the summer. This position will work closely with our Head Chef to grow our culinary program and develop a strong development program for our up-and-coming cooks. Candidates should have 3-5 years of chef experience in a full-service restaurant setting.
Tamarack Resort has recently been purchased and development on a new Village will begin in the spring. The resort will be adding 4-6 new restaurants over the coming years. For a chef with vision and foresight, the opportunity to grow with Tamarack is incredible. This position is full-time, year-round with health benefits and paid time off.
Our Accounting Administrator will work with the Controller on many of the accounting functions of Tamarack Resort. This position will help with daily cash audit activities, payroll duties, and execute daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
The applicant must be ready to work in a face-paced seasonal business. At certain times of the year this position may require weekend, holiday and early morning hours. This position is full-time, year-round position with paid time off and health benefits.
Front Desk Agent
Our Front Desk Agent is a friendly face when guests arrive at the resort. This position will greet guests upon arrival and check them into their homes. Additionally this position will take reservations over the phone and through online sources. Candidates need a positive attitude, the willingness to please guests, computer literacy and flexibility. This position will work afternoons and evenings. The position is a full-time, year-round career with paid time off and health benefits.
Terrain Park Manager
This position over oversees our terrain park building and maintenance. This person will lead a small group of terrain park employees, to create a fun and engaging terrain park experience for our guests. A qualified candidate will have snowcat driving and terrain park building experience. This position is currently a full-time, year-round benefited position for a candidate interested in summer work. Or, the position can be a full-time, seasonal position for a candidate just looking for winter employment.
Winter Seasonal Roles
Seven Devils Restaurant is seeking a full-time bartender to work in our vibrant and fast-paced pub. This position will sever wine, beer and mixed drinks to a customer base made up of homeowners and outdoor enthusiasts.
Our lift attendants are truly the “face” of the resort. Our guests and homeowners come to know, and love, our lift attendants! These positions work outside to operate the chairlift and interact closely with our guests. Applicants maintain a safe loading surface, operate the chair, and greet guests as they arrive. These positions earn an hourly wage, plus a season ending bonus of 50 cents for each hour worked during the winter for those who fulfill their season-long position! Of course, ski and ride breaks are available for those who want to get some time on the snow as well!
Line Cook / Prep Cook
Our cooks work in the fast-paced environments of the Canoe Grill, Seven Devils Pub and the new Fern & Feather Restaurant. Our cooks see all aspects of the food & beverage operation, and work with a highly trained head chef. Along with an hourly wage all cooks receive complimentary ski benefits for their family and friends. For those relocating to work at Tamarack Resort, employee housing is available.
The dishwasher position supports both the front-of-house and back-of-house staff to provide clean tableware and kitchen equipment. Our dishwashers must have a fresh attitude, be optimistic and follow the rules of the kitchen. Sanitation is an important job in the kitchen, and for those who perform well, this position can be a first step to a long culinary career. Dishwasher positions are available in both Seven Devils and the new Fern & Feather Restaurant.
Our lodging team is looking for full-time housekeepers to join our team immediately! Our housekeepers work together in groups of 3, and enjoy a lively and social working environment. These teams work throughout the resort in hotel rooms to estate homes – all with the goal of delivering an immaculate lodging experience to every guest who stays with us.
Snow Removal / Parking Attendant
These team members use snowblowers and shovels to remove snow from stairs, walkways and common areas at our base facilities. Additionally, members on this team will assist in trash removal and parking cars on weekends.
Busser / Host
This team member in our Food & Beverage department will greet customers, clean and reset tables, fill nonalcoholic beverages, deliver food when necessary as well as other tasks related to the support of wait staff and service to our guests. Position is part-time with hourly wage and tips. Busser / Host positions are available in both Seven Devils and the new Fern & Feather Restaurant.
Our cashier will greet customers, take payments for goods, maintain bus stations in 3 locations and bus tables in the Canoe Grill. This is a fun position for those who like to meet and speak with guests in a fast-paced environment. Position is part-time with hourly wage and tips.
