Tamarack Resort is now accepting applications for Summer 2018 and year-round roles.  Below are some of the seasonal positions for which we are hiring.

Full-Time, Year-Round Roles

Lodging Coordinator

Our Lodging Coordinator will act as a key team member in our lodging organization to backup our Lodging Manager and fill key duties in owner accounting and department purchasing.  This person will work with owners on month-end billing, maintenance issues and division purchasing for maintenance and housekeeping.  As this person learns the key functions of the lodging division additional responsibility will be added with group sales objectives with an accompanying bonus structure.  This is an entry position perfect for a dedicated, self-starter who wants to grow in the lodging division and greater organization.  This position is full-time and year-round and enjoys health, dental and vision insurance.

Lodging Maintenance

Our team is seeking a maintenance person to help support our lodging division.  We are look for a “Jack or Jill of all trades” who can help with small fixes from paint, plumbing, drywall, snow removal, appliance repair and all the things that pop up in a typical home.  This position if full-time, year-round position.

Winter Seasonal Roles

Lift Operations Supervisor

This is a key winter position who leads a team of up to 30 lift operators.  This person will be in charge of hiring, scheduling and discipline of this team.  This position will work outside and have a close working relationship the lift maintenance, ski patrol and ticket sales departments.

Lift Attendants

Our lift attendants are truly the “face” of the resort.  Our guests and homeowners come to know, and love, our lift attendants!  These positions work outside to operate the chairlift and interact closely with our guests.  Applicants maintain a safe loading surface, operate the chair, and greet guests as they arrive.  These positions earn an hourly wage, plus a season ending bonus for those who fulfill their season-long position!  Of course, ski and ride breaks are available for those who want to get some time on the snow as well!

Lift Mechanic

Our team is search for a winter season lift mechanic.  This position will work with our team of lift mechanics to maintain 6 chairlifts through the winter season.  This position requires work in the outdoors and sometimes extreme winter conditions.  This is a full-time position.

Content Coordinator

Our Content Coordinator is a key member of our winter team.  This person will collect photo and video content across the resort and edit it for final use in our marketing.  This position requires the applicant to ski at an expert level in powder conditions, have deep experience shooting photography on full manual settings and competent video editing skills.  All applicants will need to show a portfolio or demo reel to be considered.

Housekeepers

Our lodging team is looking for full-time housekeepers to join our team immediately!  Our housekeepers work together in groups of 3, and enjoy a lively and social working environment.  These teams work throughout the resort in hotel rooms to estate homes – all with the goal of delivering an immaculate lodging experience to every guest who stays with us.

Snow Removal Supervisor

We are seeking a Snow Removal Supervisor to oversee a team this winter.  This person will lead a small group of individuals to remove snow around the base area, manage parking during busy visitation, operate a shuttle and facilitate garbage removal.  An ideal candidate will be ready for physical labor in the outdoors and have some experience with skisteer operations.

Snow Removal / Parking Attendant

These team members use snowblowers and shovels to remove snow from stairs, walkways and common areas at our base facilities.  Additionally, members on this team will assist in trash removal and parking cars on weekends.

Mile High Cantina Supervisor

Our Supervisor at the Cantina creates a fun and festive environment at our mid-mountain dining location.  This small location serves street tacos and beverages in a quaint mountain hut in a hi-tempo atmosphere.  An ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and ready to find new ways to engage guests and drive revenue.  Additionally, this person needs to be ready to do it all from making drinks, creating tacos and removing snow.  The Cantina is open on weekends and holidays.

Mile High Cantina Cashier/Bartender

This person will support the Supervisor in operating the Mile High Cantina.  Acting as a bartender, making taco plates, removing snow and transporting product up and down the mountain are all a part of this position.  The Cantina is open on weekends and holidays.

Bartender

Tamarack is seeking a bartender for Seven Devils during the winter season.  This person will interact with customers, homeowners and fellow employees in a fun and fast-paced environment.  Our bartenders can expect to meet bikers, adventure seekers and guests from around the nation all at the resort for enjoyment.  Of course, this position can enjoy generous gratuities when service is delivered in an exceptional way!

1st Cook

Our 1st Cook is our lead line cook and will work under the guidance of our Head Chef and operate the kitchen when the Head Chef is unavailable.  This person needs to have at least 3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant and be ready to operate in a fun, fast-paced, and high-volume kitchen environment.

2nd Cook

Our 2nd Cook works under the direct of the Head Chef and 1st Cook in the fast-paced Seven Devils kitchen.  Thsi person needs 1 to 2 years of full-service restaurant experience and be ready to learn and engage with an experienced kitchen team.

Saucier

The Saucier position works within the kitchen and executes various tasks including soup making, braising, blanching and basic butchering skills with meat and fish.

Dishwasher

The dishwasher position supports both the front-of-house and back-of-house staff to provide clean tableware and kitchen equipment.  Our dishwashers must have a fresh attitude, be optimistic and follow the rules of the kitchen.  Sanitation is an important job in the kitchen, and for those who perform well, this position can be a first step to a long culinary career.

Busser / Host

This team member in our Food & Beverage department will greet customers, clean and reset tables, fill nonalcoholic beverages,  deliver food when necessary as well as other tasks related to the support of wait staff and service to our guests. Position is part-time with hourly wage and tips.

Bartender

Our bartenders will make and serve a variety of cocktails, beer and wine in a high volume, fast paced and fun environment.  This person will need to work within our point-of-sale system and uphold save serving standards in accordance with Idaho State Law. Position is full -ime with hourly wage and tips.

Restaurant Housekeeper

The restaurant housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning 2 restaurants throughout the winter season.  Tasks include but are not limited to maintenance of restrooms, dining room floors, entrance windows and garbage removal.  Position is part-time with hourly wage.

Cashier

Our cashier will greet customers, take payments for goods, maintain bus stations in 3 locations and bus tables in the Canoe Grill.  This is a fun position for those who like to meet and speak with guests in a fast-paced environment.  Position is part-time with hourly wage and tips.

Server

Our servers at Seven Devils work in a fast-paced environment.  Our guests are enthusiastic, outdoorsy and eco-connected – a great combination for a vibrant restaurant.  Shifts are available for lunch  and dinner, both midweek and weekends and come with an hourly wage and tips.

Terrain Park Lead

This position will help the Terrain Park Manager with the day-t0-day management of the terrain park including envisioning, building and maintenance of the park.  This is a full-time position.

Terrain Park Digger

This position helps maintain the terrain park and overall safety of the space.  This is a great place to start a career in terrain parks and see how the operations functions.  This is a full-time position.

Daycare Attendant

We are seeking both part-time and holiday help in our daycare.  This is a great opportunity to spend time with children in our State Licensed Daycare facility.  Must be able to pass background check and obtain CPR/First Aid certification (which we teach free of charge).

Retail Associate/Barista

Our retail team is looking for a team member to support our retail sales and Hot Shots Cafe.  You’ll merchandise our sales location along with helping in our small cafe.  Both full-time and holiday schedules are available.

Ski and Snowboard Instructor

Share your passion for snowsports with our guests and become a ski or snowboard instructor.  No prior teaching experience is necessary as we will teach you everything you need to know to be a great coach.  Plus, our training will prepare you to become a certified instructor through PSIA or AASI.  Applications should be able to ski or ride at an intermediate or better level.   Full-time, part-time, and holiday schedules available.

Ticket and Pass Sales

We are seeking high energy people to support our lift ticket and season pass sales desk.  These positions issue daily tickets and season passes to our guests… yet, they also get time away from the desk to hit the slopes!  These positions are great brand ambassadors and enjoy a fun and fast-paced work environment with a committed group of coworkers.  Positions available for full-time, part-time and holiday schedules.

Rental Technician

Our rental technicians help fit our guests with ski and snowboard rental gear.  They work with our equipment and within our point-of-sale system to rent our fleet of modern equipment.  This position is fast-paced position, that still enjoys the spoils of working at a ski resort including ski/snowboard breaks and deals on gear.  Full-time, part-time and holiday positions available.

Boot Fitter

The right fit for a ski or snowboard boot can truly make or break a guest’s day on the mountain.  So, we look for hard working and conscientious employees to help our guests get the right fit.  Part-time and holiday positions are available.
