Tamarack Resort is now accepting applications for Winter 2019/20 and year-round roles.  Below are some of the seasonal positions for which we are hiring.

Year-Round Roles

Director of Human Resources

We are looking for a hands-on HR generalist who can successfully support this growing Resort. The ideal candidate will: (i) have prior experience as a Human Resources Director or in Human Resources, (ii) have proven and creative experience in recruiting, retention and development of associates, (iii) be ready to address and help implement Resort-wide growth and change, and (iv) approach the position and any challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit.  Requires high levels of interaction with all members of staff – exchanging ideas and information to drive performance and delivering memorable guest experiences.  Also will require having a connection and understanding of all of the outdoor activities offered at Tamarack and in order to be able to articulate those offerings to current and future associates and guests. Experience working with human resource, time keeping and payroll software programs such as Paylocity, Ultipro and Kronos is a plus but not required.

Line Cook

Our culinary team is seeking line cooks to support our restaurant operations.  Our line cooks work in a fast-paced environment and coached to work in multiple facets of the back-of-house kitchen work environment.  Some line cook experience is preferred, but all candidates will have the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of our head chef, Ason Edwards.  This position is full-time, year round with paid time off and health benefits.

Front Desk Agent

This person will work with our guests from reservation to check-out to ensure a positive guest experience throughout their stay.  The correct candidate must be able to multitask and work in an active environment with many distractions and still maintain a professional and positive attitude.  Computer experience is required.

Housekeepers

Our lodging team is looking for full-time housekeepers to join our team immediately!  Our housekeepers work together in groups of 3, and enjoy a lively and social working environment.  These teams work throughout the resort in hotel rooms to estate homes – all with the goal of delivering an immaculate lodging experience to every guest who stays with us.  These position are  full-time, year-round with health benefits, paid time off and recreational benefits. 

Fall / Winter Seasonal Roles

Lift Operators

Our lift operators work as a team to run our chairlifts across the resort.  These team members are the “face” of the resort and interact with nearly all of our guests.  This is great outdoor job and particularly well suited for people who enjoy being outside and interacting with guests in a social setting.  No prior experience required.  Full-time, part-time and holiday positions available. 

Market Prep / Stocker

The new market opening in the Village at Tamarack this December is seeking employees to do food preparation and stock items throughout the store.  No experience necessary, just the willingness to learn and have a positive attitude.

Snowmakers

Our snowmaking team works throughout the fall and early winter to create snow on our heaviest trafficked slopes.  These team members monitor temperatures and our snowmaking machines and pumps to create snow in critical areas.  Evening, night and weekend work is required.

Cashiers

Our food and beverage team is looking for cashiers available full-time and Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays this winter.  These team members work in the new Village Coffee Shop, the new Village Market or Canoe Grill and help guests move through our fast-paced dining operation.  No experience necessary, just the willingness to learn and a sunny personality will make these applicants successful.

Barista

We are seeking a barista to help serve our guests in Canoe Grill and our new high-end coffee shop in the Village at Tamarack.  This person will prepare coffee and small food items in these bustling locations.  Both full-time and part-time/holiday opportunities are available.

Retail Associate

We are seeking passionate outdoor sales associate in our retail operation. Primary responsibilities will be merchandising and cashiering as well as supporting other departments within the Sports Dome.    Both full-time and part-time/holiday opportunities are available.

Snow Removal / Parking 

Our snow removal and parking team will work to remove snow in our base area.  Additionally, these team members will help direct our guests in our parking lots, especially on busy weekends and holidays.  Full-time, part-time and holiday positions are available.

Ticket Sales

We are seeking ticket sales associates to service our season pass holders and daily guests.  These team members work in a fast-paced and positive environment selling tickets and fulfilling season passes.  Full-time, part-time and holiday positions are available.

Terrain Park Diggers

Our terrain park department is looking for individuals to dig, scrape and shape our terrain park during the season.  These employees will work with hand tools to tune jumps and rails to help ensure quality and support risk mitigation efforts.  No experience necessary.  

Ski Patrol Paramedic/EMT

Our Ski Patrol is currently taking applications for motivated and experienced Professional Ski Patrollers.  Individuals should be capable of skiing/riding advanced terrain and working in all weather conditions.  Idaho EMT certification required.  Previous patrolling and avalanche experience preferred.  Expert alpine, snowboarding or telemarking skills required.

Dishwasher

The dishwasher position supports both the front-of-house and back-of-house staff to provide clean tableware and kitchen equipment.  Our dishwashers must have a fresh attitude, be optimistic and follow the rules of the kitchen.  Sanitation is an important job in the kitchen, and for those who perform well, this position can be a first step to a long culinary career.  

Server

Seven Devils and Fern & Feather restaurants are seeking servers to join our team.  This fast-paced, high-volume restaurant is a favorite of our guests.  Positions are available for days, nights, mid-week and weekends.

Bartender

Seven Devils and Fern & Feather Restaurants are seeking a full-time bartender to work in our vibrant and fast-paced pub.  This position will serve wine, beer and mixed drinks to a customer base made up of homeowners and outdoor enthusiasts.

Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Ski and snowboard instructors spend their days interacting with guests and riding the mountain.  All of our instructors receive training on how to become effective on-snow coaches.  Experience is not required, just the ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level.  We’ll work to train you on everything you need to know to start a career on the snow. 

Daycare Providers

Wildhorse Daycare provides quality child care to our employees and guests. This winter we are looking for caregivers who want to enjoy the perks our resort has to offer while working in a fun, fast-paced environment. Daycare attendants will work closely with the department manager to maintain a safe, structured, and fun environment for children of all ages. This is a full time position beginning in December.

Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a seasonal marketing coordinator to support us in wide array of duties around the resort.  Duties could include newsletter and email writing, photography, event support, and model and content coordination.  Good candidates will have strong writing abilities with writing samples available upon request.

Hand Shoveling and Snow Blower Operations

Our hand shoveling and snow blower operations team plays a vital role in the safety and enjoyment for our homeowners and guests.  This hardworking group, employed by the Tamarack Municipal Association, removes snow in varying weather situations.  This team is responsible for removing snow and ice from walkways, patios and hot tubs.  Candidates should have experience with hand tools, shovels and snow blowers.  Team members are expected to work in an efficient manner while promoting job & worksite safety. The ideal candidate strives for excellent customer service, and exhibits pride in quality workmanship.  

Equipment Operator Snow Removal

The snow plow operator position is a full time, seasonal position in the winter for the Tamarack Municipal Association. The primary candidate should have snow removal experience in loaders, skid steers, telescopic lifts, backhoe, dump trucks, tractors and graders with the occasional use of snow blowers and shovels. Your primary duties will include all roadways, parking lots, driveways, hauling snow and any other driving surface after a snowstorm. Additional responsibilities typically include sanding on roads to prevent ice buildup, maintaining safe roadways, making and placing snow markers, snow chain repair, equipment maintenance and service. Along with snow removal, you must also maintain your vehicle and equipment. Candidates with experience in graders are a plus.

Building Maintenance Technician

Tamarack Municipal Association is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician who is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of large commercial buildings along with exterior repairs on single family residential properties. Duties will vary daily requiring time management and prioritization skills. Building Maintenance Technicians need to have good knowledge of systems including HVAC, plumbing, drywall installation, painting, commercial generators, commercial pools, masonry and general building repair. Also, the candidate will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools and have efficient computer skills.

Volunteers

Models

Our marketing department is searching for models for future marketing campaigns.  Don’t think “catwalks, runways, bikinis and haute couture”.  We look for regular people who love Tamarack.  As long as you can ski or ride at an intermediate level and are ready to take direction from our photographer… we want to hear from you.  We want seniors, adults, young adults, kids, men and woman (and puppies!).  Want to learn more?  Send your instagram handle and an email to marketing@tamarackidaho.com

Ambassadors

Tamarack ambassadors earn skiing benefits in return for supporting our guests during busy periods at the resort.  You’ll be in the our base area answering questions, helping families with Saturday s’mores or riding lifts doing guest satisfaction surveys.  Interested parties should send an email to hr@tamarackidaho.com for more information.
