Employee Housing

Employee housing is available for winter 2017/18.  Employee housing is allocated for certain departments and to support employees relocating to Tamarack for key seasonal positions.  For more details on housing, please contact HR@tamarackidaho.com or 208-325-1028.

Free Daycare

Employee with children 4 and younger can enjoy free daycare.  This service is based on availability (reservations required) from 8-5pm on weekends and holidays.

Tamarack Resort is now accepting applications for the Winter 2017/18 season.  Below are some of the seasonal positions for which we are hiring.

Winter Seasonal Roles

Lift Operator

Starting at $10.50/hr plus bonus – Our winter lift operators run our 6 chairlifts and become the faces of the resort.  These employees interact with guests while operating our chairlifts in a fun, outdoor environment.  This job also offers flexibility for those who love winter including ski breaks on powder days!

Plus, all lift operators are eligible for a season end bonus!  Operators can earn an additional $.50 per hour worked at the end of the season if the operator completes the winter in good standing!

Housekeeper

We are seeking a housekeeper to join our lodging team.  This team member will work along side other housekeepers cleaning our lodging accommodations across the resort.  This can be a fun and rewarding job in a fast-paced and social environment.

Laundry Attendant

Our laundry attendant supports our housekeeping team by laundering our linens and having them prepared to distribute across the resort.  Sorting, laundering and folding these linens are all part of the position.  This team members also helps to assess our linen needs and guides our housekeeping manager on necessary replacements.  This is a full-time position.

Retail Cashier (holiday position)

We are looking for a retail cashier interested in working full-time during our busiest time of year – December 18 – January 8th.  This position will work in our retail department and Hot Shots Cafe supporting our baristas.  This position will earn a season pass that can be used for the remainder of the winter.

Custodian

Our custodial position will work 20-32 hours per week and keep our restaurants and base facilities tidy.  This person will clean common spaces and bathrooms to help achieve a great guest experience in our high traffic locations.

Ticket Sales Clerk

We are seeking a part-time ticket sales clerk.  These team members will service our guests who are purchasing season passes, Express Cards or daily tickets.  This is a fun and face-paced position.  Applicants for this position will just need a friendly smile and basic computer literacy to be successful.

Sous Chef

Our sous chef is the second-in-command in our kitchen.  This person will work in both Seven Devils and Canoe Grill, and will lead the kitchen staff when our head chef is out of the kitchen.  This is a full-time position.

Terrain Park Attendant

This team member will help attend to the terrain park and ensure it’s quality and construction is ready for the public’s use.  The attendant will put up rope, rake jumps and help the Terrain Park manager with new construction of the park.

Rental Shop Tech

These team members repair and maintain our ski and snowboard rental fleet.  Our managers will work with you to lean how to adjust rental equipment for the needs of individual customers.  This is a fun and face-paced position for people of any age and experience.

On-Call Child Care Provider

The On-Call Child Care Provider position will help in the care of children at Wildhorse Children’s Center on an on-call basis.  This person can expect to work during the December holidays and approximately 2 days per month.   This person will work under the supervision of the Children’s Center manager.

Lodging Coordinator

To be the Lodging Coordinator at Tamarack Resort you must be able to create an engaging work environment for your fellow colleagues, along with exceeding guest’s expectations. The right individual will be professional with an outgoing demeanor and have the ability to multi-task. Organization and thoroughness is the key to being successful. We are looking for an individual that is detail orientated and has the ability to identify opportunities to improve systems and maintaining records. Must be able to have clear written and verbal communication skills, along with being able to complete projects in a timely manner. The right candidate will be ambitious and driven, and be a self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision while completing their assigned tasks on time.

Line Cook

Work in a fast-paced environment and learn the restaurant business under our chef – Dana Brizee.  Our line chefs will work in Canoe Grill and Seven Devils, and have access to different types of cuisine.  Full-time, part-time and holiday help welcome.

Bootfitter

Our bootfitters fit guests with appropriate rental boots.  No experience necessary – just need the willingness to learn and interact with guests.

Snow Removal and Parking Team Member

Remove snow and ice from around all walkways, patios, and steps at designated structures.  Place ski racks on snow front each morning and shovel decks at Mid Mountain and transformers.  Clean parking lots and patio’s of trash and empty trash cans daily.  Place and remove parking cones as directed daily.  Clear propane ports as needed.  Stack chairs and tables on patios before storms.

 

Dish Prep

You will be responsible for cleaning all restaurant wares, while learning how to prepare food items according to standard recipes with supervision, while maintaining an organized and clean work station.
