Winter Seasonal Roles

Lift Operator

Tamarack Lift Operators are the “face” of Tamarack!  Our lift operators interact with homeowners and guests, and become well-known employees at the resort.  We are looking for enegetic and outgoing people who enjoy working outside and with people.  Skiing/riding ability is a bonus but not required.  Full-time, part-time and holiday positions are available.

These positions enjoy a competitive wage plus a cash bonus at the end of the season for those who complete the season.

These employees operate their assigned lift safely and efficiently while providing guests of Tamarack Resort with courteous and friendly service.  This person will interact with guests in a fun, outdoor environment.

Rental Shop Tech

This is one of the coolest jobs at the ski area.  This team member gets time each day to ski or ride.  This person also has access to test the lastest ski and snowboard equipment for free, plus they have access to professional deals on newest gear.  During the day, our rental techs repair and maintain rental fleet and guest equipment, adjust rental equipment to manufacturer specs, and handle guest and customer requests with efficiency and a good attitude.  Both full-time and part-time is available.

Rental Supervisor

Our rental supervisor is a full-time position that oversees our rental department.  This person will manage other rental techs, maintain rental fleet and guest equipment, adjust rental equipment to manufacturer specs, and handle guest and customer requests with efficiency and a good attitude.

Snow Removal & Parking

Our snow removal team removes snow and ice walkways, patios, and steps at designated structures.  This team also places ski racks on snow front each morning and shovel decks at Mid Mountain and transformers.  They service all bathrooms at Mid Mountain and Summit.  Additionally, these team members clean parking lots and patio’s of trash and empty trash cans daily.

Holiday Boot Fitters

This team member will assist the rental department during the holiday period. This team member will help with boot fitting and picking out the proper length ski/snowboard. This team member will need to be outgoing and friendly. Position is needed during the December holidays from December 17 – January 1.

Holiday Gear Valet & Ticket Sales

This member of our team will help customers store their equipment in our gear valet.  Additionally, this person will sell tickets, fullfil season passes and sell retail at a point-of-sale location.  Position is needed during the December holidays from December 17 – January 1.

Housekeeping

Join Tamarack’s Housekeeping Team! We are looking for a new team player that will contribute to building a positive team spirit and is able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. The ideal candidate will be organized, work efficiently, and able to take direction. Must be dependable and reliable. Pay is dependent upon experience.  This is a part-time position.

Lodging Porter Job Description

Tamarack Lodging Company is looking for a porter to join our team. This person will be performing security checks on homes, changing lightbulbs, checking Wi-Fi connections, and changing batteries in remotes. In addition to assisting housekeeping with running bins, trash, firewood, and delivering guest supplies. During slow times this position will assist with snow shoveling as needed around the resort.

The ideal candidate should know how to use manual and power tools to do minor repairs such as fixing leaky faucets, taking apart a vacuum cleaner, and capable of standing on ladders to change light bulbs.

Ideal candidate must have the physical strength to lift cleaning materials such as heavy equipment and the physical stamina for being on their feet all day. Must be a self-starter, organized, capable of filing out a check sheet, and the ability of maintaining a list of items needing repair. Should be reliable and accountable, along with being able to present a clean/tidy appearance. This position requires employee to be able to drive a company vehicle.

Back Waiter

Back Waiters provide support for the service staff before, after, and during service. This is a gateway position to furthering your knowledge for a service position. Back waiters are an essential part of FOH team.

Barista

The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas. The barista fulfills any other duties the store manager, assistant manager or shift supervisor assigns.

Dish Prep

You will be responsible for cleaning all restaurant wares, while learning how to prepare food items according to standard recipes with supervision, while maintaining an organized and clean work station.

Hostess

The hostess is an individual who greets customers as they arrive at the outlet and often is the last to say goodbye to them as they leave.  You will be responsible for scheduling dining reservations for guests in advance and as they arrive at the restaurant.

Kitchen Supervisor/Sous Chef

You will be responsible for preparing food items according to standard recipes, while maintaining an organized and clean work station, properly store all food items to meet sanitation standards. Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Inspect storage areas for organization, and cleanliness. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies, and complete daily work orders.  Knowledge of and array of cuisine and general familiarity of wine is a major plus.

Line Cook

This position is responsible for preparing food items according to standard recipes, while maintaining an organized and clean work station. Properly store all food items to meet sanitation standards.  Knowledge of cuisine and general familiarity of wine is a major plus,

Wait Staff

This position will accurately and efficiently fill drink and menu orders.  Explain the daily specials and menu items to patrons as asked.  Upsell dessert and menu items. Ensure that all patrons meet legal drinking age before serving alcoholic beverages.  Perform other duties as needed to provide an exceptional dining experience for Tamarack Resort patrons.

Holiday Day Care Attendant

This position will help with the day-to-day tasks in our day care and report to the Wildhorse Manager.  No experience necessary but must have patience and a loving heart.  Position is needed during the December holidays from Dec. 17 – January 1.

Holiday Ticket Sales Associate

The Ticket Sales Associate will provide efficient, accurate, informative and friendly sales experience to all Tamarack guest’s purchasing lift ticket products.  This person will be up to date on all Tamarack ticket products, discounts and promotions, and will provide guests with their best purchase options for the duration of their stay.  Both full-time and holiday positions available (holiday position is needed during the December holidays from December 17 – January 1.)

Ski Patrol

Our ski patrol will ensure that all accidents on the mountain are adhered to in a safe manner.  This person will continuously monitor trails on the mountain to ensure that they are safe for guests to use.

Team members administer first aid to injured guests and staff, coordinate transport of injured persons to appropriate facility, and continually monitor trail conditions to ensure the safety of all guests and staff. Additionally, they perform lift evacuations as required, perform avalanche control duties as required, provide skier education to guests and staff, and perform risk management duties as required.

Snow Maker

Our snow makers will work as one of a team to open and maintain skiing terrain with the best possible snow that can be created.

These team members produce top quality snow through the use of our snowmaking system.  They prepare and complete any required documents, operate snowmaking pumps, controls, and monitoring equipment.  They operate various types of motorized equipment on and off the mountain, perform minor maintenance duties as needed and are responsible for personal safety and the safety of crew members.

Equipment Operator-Road Maintenance

Tamarack Resort has over 10 miles of road, plus large parking lots that require snow removal throughout the winter season.  Snow removal typically takes place from 5am – 1pm leaving plenty of time to go make some turns after your shift!  The ideal candidate will have a considerable amount of experience operating front end loaders, backhoes, skid steers and other heavy equipment.  Pay is dependent on experience $12 – $15 per hour.

Full-Time, Year-Round Roles

Director of Food & Beverage

The Director of Food & Beverage for Tamarack Resort is responsible for the daily operating excellence and short and long term success of all aspects of the Food and Beverage operations within the resort; including meeting or exceeding our established business targets.

The Director of Food and Beverage is also responsible for strategic and future planning as it relates to all F&B initiatives within the resort.  Including, but not limited to areas of capital expansion, business planning, branding, menu, restaurant, design and the creative and conceptual development of new F&B experiences.

This position will oversee a full-service restaurant, winter cafeteria, mid-mountain yurt and coffee bar.  Additionally, this person will oversee space rentals of our wedding and conference center and new opportunities as they come available.

The position is full-time, year-round with paid time off and health benefits.

Systems Support Tech

The Systems Support Technician will provide technical support for Workstation, Point-of-Sale, Telecom, Video, Audio-Video, and Network systems running in the Tamarack Resort environment.  The Systems Support Technician I works within the Information Technology Division, but is required to communicate and circulate throughout all areas of Tamarack’s operation.  This position works approximately 20 hours per week.
