Tamarack Resort is now accepting applications for Summer 2018 and year-round roles. Below are some of the seasonal positions for which we are hiring.
Full-Time, Year-Round Roles
The Controller has full responsibility for the completion and accuracy of the company’s monthly and year- end financial statements, internal financial reporting, the oversight and accountability for the general ledger, budgeting and forecasting, cost analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash deposits, bank reconciliation, software systems, and payroll accounting functions. The Controller will coordinate the implementation of the financial planning process with company leaders and safeguard Company assets by enhancing and establishing the financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. The role will be based in Donnelly, Idaho.
The successful candidate must possess strong and proven financial analysis skills, communication, collaborative and organizational skills along with understanding the detailed nuances of GAAP accounting and financial reporting, especially as it relates to resort operations and real estate development.
Our Trails Manager oversees our snowmaking and grooming operations during the winter season, and slope maintenance and mountain bike trail building in the summer. This position is an important team member in mountain operations who will lead a team of seasonal snowmakers, groomers and summer trail staff. Strong candidates will have experience in operating and maintaining complex snowmaking systems, operating snow groomers and other heavy equipment. A positive attitude, good communication and the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and in adverse weather conditions is a requirement.
Front Desk Agent
We are seeking a front desk agent for our lodging division. This position would work 30-35 hours per week. Applicants should have strong computer and phone skills and be ready to interact with guests in a cordial and upbeat manner. The front desk staff works in the beautiful Lodge at Osprey Meadows in a fun and fast-paced environment.
Summer Seasonal Roles
Spend your days on the water and in the sun at the Waterfront Cabana. Located on Lake Cascade, the Waterfront Cabana rents non-motorized and motorized watercraft for guests to enjoy. As a deckhand, you’ll rent boats, coach guests on their use and help them get out on the water for a fun and safe day on the water. This is a full-time position.
Join our team as raft guide and take guests down the North Fork of the Payette River! This is a fun and thrilling summer job for anyone who loves to be on the water during the summer months. There’s no experience necessary as we can train you on everything you need to know.
Tamarack is seeking a bartender for Seven Devils during the summer season. This person will interact with customers, homeowners and fellow employees in a fun and fast-paced environment. Our bartenders can expect to meet bikers, adventure seekers and guests from around the nation all at the resort for enjoyment. Of course, this position can enjoy generous gratuities when service is delivered in an exceptional way!
Our team is looking for a part-time CDL driver to help support our rafting business. Our driver will need a CDL driver’s license to transport guests to and from our stretch of the Payette River. This is an enjoyable position that interacts with guests before and after an exhilarating day on the river.
Our line cooks get the opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder with our accomplished chef, Dana Brizee, in a face-paced kitchen. Our diverse menu is always changing and there are opportunities to learn and grow in this professional kitchen. Qualified candidates will have some experience in a kitchen with the willingness to learn new techniques and work in all parts of the kitchen.
Our servers at Seven Devils work in a fast-paced environment serving both inside and in our outdoor dining patio. Our guests are enthusiastic, outdoorsy and eco-connected – a great combination for a vibrant and outdoor restaurant. Shifts are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday for dinner and Saturday and Sundays for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We are seeking both full-time and part-time housekeepers. Our housekeepers work in teams to clean the beautiful homes around the resort. This is a social, fun and fast-paced work environment. Best of all, our housekeepers enjoy the security of steady hours throughout all seasons with just small fluctuations of hours in shoulder seasons.
Our lodging division is seeking both full-time and part-time laundry attendants (morning, afternoon and evening shifts available). Our laundry attendants sort, clean and fold linens to help support the housekeepers that are cleaning homes throughout the resort.
Residential Landscaping Lead
The Tamarack Homeowners Association is looking for an individual who enjoys working outside and maintaining the beautiful landscaping around our residential neighborhoods. As a Residential Landscaping Lead, you are responsible for mowing, trimming and raking the native landscape, which surrounds the homes at Tamarack. Sweeping roofs, patios, walkways and neighborhood roads is also a key responsibility. Previous experience required. Exterior Window Cleaning Lead
Tamarack’s Window Cleaning Lead is responsible for fulfilling 16 plus window cleaning projects each week. Our window cleaning department uses state of the art equipment, which ensures both efficient operations along with a spot free end product. Winter Seasonal Roles
Terrain Parks Manager
Tamarack is seeking a Terrain Parks Manager who can oversee the building and maintenance of the terrain parks, along with a small team of terrain park attendants. The Terrain Park Manager will create several parks of various sizes to accommodate different ability levels. This person will create parks and terrain-based learning areas that are fun, engaging and unique. This person will have have budgetary responsibilities and close ties with the mountain operations, base services, marketing, grooming and snowmaking departments. This position will begin in November with feature maintenance and supporting the snowmaking team, then move into full-time terrain park operations upon the opening of ski operations. All candidates must have snowcat driving experience, and an ideal candidate will have previous terrain park building experience. This position is currently listed as a full-time, winter position, but could have a full-time, year-round component if the applicant has the interest and ability in building in the downhill bike park.
