Full-Time, Year-Round Roles

Director of Food & Beverage

The Director of Food & Beverage for Tamarack Resort is responsible for the daily operating excellence and short and long term success of all aspects of the Food and Beverage operations within the resort; including meeting or exceeding our established business targets.

The Director of Food and Beverage is also responsible for strategic and future planning as it relates to all F&B initiatives within the resort.  Including, but not limited to areas of capital expansion, business planning, branding, menu, restaurant, design and the creative and conceptual development of new F&B experiences.

This position will oversee a full-service restaurant, winter cafeteria, mid-mountain yurt and coffee bar.  Additionally, this person will oversee space rentals of our wedding and conference center and new opportunities as they come available.

The position is full-time, year-round with paid time off and health benefits.

Food & Beverage Manager

We are seeking an F&B Manager to support the Director of Food & Beverage in managing multiple hospitality outlets.  Previous experience as a server/bartender and managing pieces of a full-service restaurant required. Knowledge of cuisine and general familiarity of wine is a major plus. You need to be a genuine, happy leader, who couples humility with a high desire to serve and please. We want passionate individuals who are driven, open to coaching, and are committed to delivering mountain hospitality with personality. We are growing, and that means we need leaders ready to grow, and go, wherever life takes us.

As a Tamarack Resort Manager, you’ll help manage multiple F&B operations and therefore, prior kitchen experience is important. You’ll build on your skills and discover new ones. You’ll assist the Director of Hospitality in developing long term Team Members. You’ll work with budgets, inventory, and labor management. You will use the tools and development provided by Tamarack Resort to grow sales and increase profits while you grow and develop both personally and professionally.

The position is a full-time, year round position with paid time off and health benefits.

Winter Seasonal Roles

Seven Devils Supervisor

We are seeking a seasonal supervisor for Seven Devils restaurant.  Seven Devils is a full-service restaurant open for lunch and dinner open 7-days-a-week.  These positions will support front-of-house operations and manage the bar and all service.  Some serving and service experience required.  Nights, weekends and holiday work will be required.

Canoe Grill Supervisor

We are seeking a seasonal supervisor for Canoe Grill.  Canoe Grill is a cafeteria setting open for lunch 3-days-a-week and daily during holidays.  This position will oversee front of house operations including the bar, cashiers and attending to the dining room.  Additionally, this person may be called upon to supervise Seven Devils two-days a week.  Some serving and service experience required.  Nights, weekends and holiday work will be required.

Hot Shots Cafe Supervisor

This position oversees our 7-day-a-week coffee bar.  This quaint coffee stop is located in the bustling Sports  Dome.  Some knowledge on coffee or barista experience is a plus.  Weekend and holiday work required.

Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is a seasonal position that helps draft and deliver winter operating news to outlets across the region and the country.  This position leads our local and national snow reporting program by providing accurate and up-to-date snow conditions reports in creative and compelling ways.  The position also helps create content for our website and social media outlets through daily photography and videography.  Additionally, this position is called upon to help with media visits and guest-facing peak season support as needed.  This position requires snow reporting to begin no later than 5am, and also requires weekend and holiday hours.   (Snow reporting can be done from home, and then you can come to the office later in the morning).  This position is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a stepping stone into full-time, year-round work in ski area management, sales or marketing.

Skiing or snowboarding at an intermediate level is required.  Social media experience on all major social media platforms is required.  Applicants with photography and videography skills are preferred.

Housekeeping

Join Tamarack’s Housekeeping Team! We are looking for a new team player that will contribute to building a positive team spirit and is able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. The ideal candidate will be organized, work efficiently, and able to take direction. Must be dependable and reliable. Pay is dependent upon experience $12 – $15 an hour.

Lodging Front Desk

We are looking for a new team player that has exceptional customer service skills and willing to direct guests about Lodging opportunities along with all the happenings around the Resort.  The requirements for this position is to demonstrate clear written & verbal communications with guests along with the ability to absorb and retain data that is provided. The right candidate should have great phone etiquette and can portray a professional image. During the busy months, this position requires quick thinking and multi-tasking, so being detailed and organized will be required to perform duties appropriately. This position requires experience with Windows applications such as Word & Excel. Knowledge of lodging reservation systems and travel websites are a plus, but not required. Experience in sales is also a plus. Pay is dependent upon experience $12 -$14 an hour.

Back Waiter

Back Waiters provide support for the service staff before, after, and during service. This is a gateway position to furthering your knowledge for a service position. Back waiters are an essential part of FOH team.

Barista

The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas. The barista fulfills any other duties the store manager, assistant manager or shift supervisor assigns.

Bartender

Along with understanding ingredients for popular drinks, this candidate must execute orders in a timely manner, be positive and deliver exceptional customer service.  This person will need to finish both opening and closing duties at required times.  Must have flexible schedule and availability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Cashier/Wrangler

Cashiers / Wranglers are front line team members who have direct contact with our guests. You must be able to perform a multitude of tasks through the day. A typical day will be setting up for service, directing our guests, collecting payment  of goods accurately, and closing duties.

Dish Prep

You will be responsible for cleaning all restaurant wares, while learning how to prepare food items according to standard recipes with supervision, while maintaining an organized and clean work station.

Hostess

The hostess is an individual who greets customers as they arrive at the outlet and often is the last to say goodbye to them as they leave.  You will be responsible for scheduling dining reservations for guests in advance and as they arrive at the restaurant.

Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef

You will be responsible for preparing food items according to standard recipes, while maintaining an organized and clean work station, properly store all food items to meet sanitation standards. Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Inspect storage areas for organization, and cleanliness. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies, and complete daily work orders.  Knowledge of and array of cuisine and general familiarity of wine is a major plus.

Line Cook

This position is responsible for preparing food items according to standard recipes, while maintaining an organized and clean work station. Properly store all food items to meet sanitation standards.  Knowledge of cuisine and general familiarity of wine is a major plus,

Wait Staff

This position will accurately and efficiently fill drink and menu orders.  Explain the daily specials and menu items to patrons as asked.  Upsell dessert and menu items. Ensure that all patrons meet legal drinking age before serving alcoholic beverages.  Perform other duties as needed to provide an exceptional dining experience for Tamarack Resort patrons.

Day Care Attendant

This position will help with the day-to-day tasks in our day care and report to the Wildhorse Manager.  No experience necessary but must have patience and a loving heart.

Sports School Administrator

This person will provide assistance to the Sports Dome Manager by creating and implementing ski and snowboard school products.  Overseeing the sports school staff will be an important role of this position.

Ticket Office Supervisor

The Ticket Office Supervisor position will direct all sales and fulfillment of recreation products and events.  This position will also be responsible to disperse information regarding the recreation events at Tamarack Resort.  The Ticket Office Supervisor will oversee the Ticket Sales Associates.

Ticket Sales Associate

The Ticket Sales Associate will provide efficient, accurate, informative and friendly sales experience to all Tamarack guest’s purchasing lift ticket products.  This person will be up to date on all Tamarack ticket products, discounts and promotions, and will provide guests with their best purchase options for the duration of their stay.

Tune Shop Tech

This team member will repair and maintain rental fleet and guest equipment, have a strong knowledge of all winter equipment and tuning practices. This team member will all be called on to help in the rental department with getting our guests on the proper equipment and in a friendly and timely fashion.

Boot Fitters

This team member will assist the rental department during the holiday period. This team member will help with boot fitting and picking out the proper length ski/snowboard. This team member will need to be outgoing and friendly.

Gear Valet

This team member will maintain security and organization of guest’s equipment and personal items.   Must have stellar customer service skills, be detail oriented and have good computer skills.

Lift Operator

The Lift Operator will perform any and all activities as assigned by the Lift Operations Supervisor.  They will operate the assigned lift safely and efficiently while providing guests of Tamarack Resort LLC with courteous and friendly service.  This person will achieve and maintain the highest standards; requires dedication to the Team in a very challenging environment.

Mountain Groomer

Our groomers will work as a team to build and maintain the best possible conditions on our ski trails. This person will prepare and complete all required grooming logs, maintenance request forms, and check lists.  This position will operate grooming equipment safely and upkeep equipment and report all equipment failure to the Manager and maintenance staff.  All grooming takes place overnight between 4pm and 8am.

Rental Shop Tech

Our rental techs repair and maintain rental fleet and guest equipment, adjust rental equipment to manufacturer specs, and handle guest and customer requests with efficiency and a good attitude.

Retail Supervisor

The retail supervisor will generate revenues through sales of ski hardgoods, softgoods and accessories.  They will sell hardgoods, softgoods and accessories to the public to assist with their sporting good and sportswear needs in order to make their overall experience positive.  The retail supervisor must be outgoing and willing to have fun with the guests.  This person will oversee other Retail Associates.

Ski Patrol

Our ski patrol will ensure that all accidents on the mountain are adhered to in a safe manner.  This person will continuously monitor trails on the mountain to ensure that they are safe for guests to use.

Team members administer first aid to injured guests and staff, coordinate transport of injured persons to appropriate facility, and continually monitor trail conditions to ensure the safety of all guests and staff. Additionally, they perform lift evacuations as required, perform avalanche control duties as required, provide skier education to guests and staff, and perform risk management duties as required.

Ski/Snowboard Instructor

Instructors provide Tamarack Resort guests with a superior educational experience on the snow.  Effective performance will ensure the best possible recreational experience for our guests.  A Ski or Ride instructor will show enthusiasm for skiing/ snowboarding and will enjoy educating all ages and ability levels.  To be an instructor, no experience is necessary as we can teach you how to teach our customers.  We only require new instructors to be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level.

Snow Maker

Our snow makers will work as one of a team to open and maintain skiing terrain with the best possible snow that can be created.

These team members produce top quality snow through the use of our snowmaking system.  They prepare and complete any required documents, operate snowmaking pumps, controls, and monitoring equipment.  They operate various types of motorized equipment on and off the mountain, perform minor maintenance duties as needed and are responsible for personal safety and the safety of crew members.

Snow Removal & Parking

Our snow removal team removes snow and ice walkways, patios, and steps at designated structures.  This team also places ski racks on snow front each morning and shovel decks at Mid Mountain and transformers.  They service all bathrooms at Mid Mountain and Summit.  Additionally, these team members clean parking lots and patio’s of trash and empty trash cans daily.
