Tamarack Resort is now accepting applications for Summer 2020 and year-round roles.  Below are some of the seasonal positions for which we are hiring.

Year Round

Restaurant Manager

Oversee the daily operations of a restaurant location. Their responsibilities include hiring and training staff, coordinating employee schedules, and ensuring company protocols are being followed. They also plan menus, order supplies, manage budgets and resolve customer complaints among other day to day operations.

Restaurant Supervisor

Restaurant Supervisors oversee all restaurant operations to ensure that restaurants run smoothly. They train and supervise restaurant staff, ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations, and resolve customer complaints.

Sous Chef

As second-in-command, he/she has a large amount of responsibility in the kitchen. Essentially, the Sous Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation in kitchens.

Summer 2020

Zipline Guides

Tamarack zipline guides have an exciting job of guiding guests through one of the best zipline courses in Idaho!   Applicants need to be outgoing, positive, like being in the woods and not afraid of heights. Guides will lead groups of up to 12 people on a zipline canopy tour while providing a safe, exciting and engaging experience for guests of all ages and abilities.  Starting June 1st (depending on snow melt).

Bike Park 

Tamarack’s Bike Park maintains and improves existing bike trails, as well as build new trails and infrastructure to IMBA standards of design and maintenance.  Trail Crew utilizes hand and power tools to shape dirt, move rocks and logs, and construct trail features.  Applicants should be outgoing, positive, and comfortable working in an outdoor high-alpine environment. We are looking for individuals with a strong passion for mountain biking and who possess a desire to be a part of the design and operation of a bike park!  Starting in May (Depending on snow melt).

Slope Maintenance

We are looking for a positive energetic crew for our slope maintenance team this summer. The job consists of running chainsaws and weed whackers, clearing the underbrush and felling standing dead trees. In the Fall we will burn our slash piles until the snow pushes us out. If you like to work outdoors and with chainsaws we have open positions. Starting in May (depending on snow melt)

Mountain Bike Patrol 

Tamarack Mountain Operations is seeking Bike Patrollers. Applicants must have an Idaho EMT and be at least an intermediate level Mountain Biker. Position includes mountain bike riding and summer trail work. Bike Park is open Thursday-Sunday plus holidays and events Memorial Weekend through Mid-September. 

Whitewater Raft Guides

Tamarack Resort is seeking employees for a fun, outside and professional position with Tamarack Rafting. Great guest service and swimming skills are required. Rafting, Rescue, CPR and First Aid training will be provided upon hiring. Whitewater training coming soon in May!

Lift Operators

Our lift operators work as a team to run our chairlifts across the resort.  These team members are the “face” of the resort and interact with nearly all of our guests.  This is great outdoor job and particularly well suited for people who enjoy being outside and interacting with guests in a social setting.  No prior experience required.  Full-time, part-time and holiday positions available. 

Part Time Bike Mechanic (3-4 days per week)

Our bike mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of  our extensive rental fleet of bikes, guest bikes and in the rental department as a rental tech.  Basic bike maintenance and repair skills required including derailleur adjustment and brake bleeding along with basic suspension maintenance and part replacement.  This position offers plenty of time (and a free season pass) to get out and ride both our lift served and XC trails.  This is also an excellent opportunity to train with our experienced mechanics and expand your  skills.  Late May through Mid-September.

Waterfront

Waterfront Dock Hand Supervisor

The Tamarack Waterfront Cabana offers Water Sports Activities on Lake Cascade at Poison Creek State Park. We rent out Motorized Boats, Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, Canoes as well as Docking and Mooring for guest boats. The Dock Hand Supervisor will work closely with the Activities Manager on Day to Day operations, educating guests of proper use of equipment, lake rules and safety. Dock Hand Supervisor should have experience in operating both inboard and outboard motor boats, be comfortable with trailering boats and backing up trailers. Must be 18 years of age or older to operate Tamarack Resort Vehicles and Motorized Equipment.  Job starts Mid-May

Food and Beverage

 

Banquet Supervisor 

The Banquet Supervisor oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including set-up, food presentation, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. Banquet supervisors are also responsible for training and coaching of the banquet staff.

 

Banquet Server 

Duties include setting patron tables and buffet areas for service. During service, a Banquet Server accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.

 

Banquet Set-Up

Sets up and breaks down banquet rooms per guest specifications, and performs side work as assigned. Essential Functions: Reads banquet event orders and sets room according to guest specifications including cleaning of rooms and setting up equipment and break stations. Acts as food runner and busses when needed.

Models
